Which DropAir adapter fits

DropAir's documentation lists Google Nest for the Mini 6 and Pro 6X. For the Mini 6S and Pro 6S it names the Learning Thermostat 2nd and 3rd generation, so we confirm the 4th gen against your indoor unit before you order.

Why it needs an adapter

The Nest Learning Thermostat is built for 24V systems with R, C, W, Y and G wires. VRF, ductless split and most Gulf ducted systems don't have those terminals. They expect the AC maker's own wired controller. A DropAir adapter sits between the two and gives the Nest the 24V terminals it expects, so it runs the indoor unit as if it were a North American system.

What you get in the box

Google ships the 4th gen with a Nest Temperature Sensor (2nd gen). You can put the sensor in the part of the room you care about, such as next to the bed, and have the thermostat use that reading. The box also includes a trim plate and a steel plate for covering old wall marks.

Before you order

Send us the model number on your indoor unit's rating label, or a photo of it. We check it against DropAir's compatibility list, tell you which adapter fits, and quote the thermostat and adapter together.
