What the Pro 6X does
The Pro 6X is for projects rather than single rooms. It's an HVAC integration controller that is configured for the site, so one design can bring VRF indoor units, ducted systems, inverter splits and fan coils under the control of thermostats and smart home platforms.
Integrators use it when a home or office already runs Lutron, Control4, Crestron, HDL, Dynalite or a similar system and the air conditioning needs to be part of the same scenes and schedules. It also works with Nest, ecobee, Honeywell and Tuya thermostats.
Systems it covers
VRF and VRV systems, inverter AC units with fan modulation, ducted splits, fan coil units and 0-10V modulating systems. Indoor unit connections cover the 4-wire control ports used by the major brands, including CN-series connectors and Mitsubishi Electric's M-NET.
Built for the long term
The Pro 6X takes 100 to 240V input and supplies 24V to thermostats itself, so no separate transformer is needed. The manufacturer supports it with firmware updates for up to 8 years. It measures about 90 by 90 by 28 mm.

Is the Pro 6X for single rooms?
It can be, but the Mini 6 or Mini 6S is usually the simpler choice for one room. The Pro 6X suits projects and smart home integrations.
