O General and Fujitsu smart thermostat adapter: which DropAir fits your system
In the Gulf these air conditioners are sold under the GENERAL name, and many people call them O General. They're made by the company formerly called Fujitsu General, which became GENERAL Inc. on 1 January 2026 and is moving its products from the FUJITSU name to GENERAL. Whichever name is on your unit, DropAir supports it.

How DropAir connects to O General and Fujitsu units
The adapter connects to the indoor unit's wired control connector, where O General's own wired remote would go. O General and Fujitsu units built on the same platform connect the same way, so the model number on the rating label matters more than the logo on the front. Where a wall split has no usable wired port, the Mini 6 can control it over infrared.
O General wall splits and ducted units
In Gulf homes, O General is best known for wall splits, with ducted and VRF systems also available. Each one gets its own DropAir adapter and smart thermostat, so every room can keep its own schedule instead of being set once on a handheld remote and forgotten.

The full indoor unit model from the rating label, the model of the wired controller if there is one, and a photo of its wiring. Older units may say Fujitsu General, newer ones GENERAL. Both are fine.

Yes. O General air conditioners are made by the company formerly called Fujitsu General, renamed GENERAL Inc. from 1 January 2026. We check compatibility by model number either way.
Can I use Nest or ecobee with an O General split?
Yes, through a DropAir adapter connected to the indoor unit, or over infrared with the Mini 6 where there's no wired port. We confirm the model first.
